Today’s world is hard…
And while seeing a counselor won’t solve every problem, proper counseling can help you feel more resilient, more capable and better able to confront any obstacle that modern living throws at you.
My unique, custom tailored approach to your individual needs, strengths and challenges means that you receive better care in less time, with results you can sustain outside of session.
Individual Counseling
I currently work with individuals aged 18 and over. My practice is open and affirming, and I welcome all members of the community to the counseling room. LGBTQ+, Bi&POC, Transgendered or transitioning, all nationalities and religions/spiritual faiths.
I specialize and have advanced training in Anxiety disorders, Trauma recovery, and Adult ADHD symptom management.
I also work with parents who want to strengthen their skills and work to improve relationships with their children, including parents recovering from their own childhood trauma.
I use a custom tailored approach that may include:
1) “Traditional” treatment approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Narrative therapy.
2) At times, we may use EMDR, breathwork, or somatic body experiencing to help augment treatment.
3) I also use a wide range of complimentary approaches that may include psychoeducation about the body or certain symptoms, information on neurobiology and gut health, and the mind body connection.
My approach has been likened to “work shopping the body-mind” and often people leave with practical and goal driven information and resources to continue their healing, long after they stop seeing me in session. A lifelong learner, I am passionate about working with people to uncover and nurture their true potential and watch as they heal.
“It is not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters.”
